I've archived Bibliocalypse on GoodReads..
A downloadable gem of a game
In a world where words and concepts began to vanish, a group of Rogue Linguists arrives at the threshold of the Forbidden Library, in a desperate attempt to retrieve the primordial Lexiconomicon, defeat the False Librarian, and restore everything that has been lost...
Bibliocalypse is a rules-lite, no-prep, vocabulary-based OSR dungeon crawl with no designated Game Master. Instead players take turns to fill in the role of the Librarian - the game's main antagonist and rules arbiter - to generate levels and hazards which aim to stop the Linguists in their tracks. The game was designed for situations where you have nothing prepared, nobody wants to GM, but you still want to play something and have a good time.
It is also a spiritual successor to LIKE-A-ROGUE - the best indie TRPG you have never played (and why would you).
The main PDF rulebook is a 20-page, full-colour A5 zine with 17 pages of rules, worldbuilding snippets, and optional modules, which let you craft the best gaming experience for your playgroup out of the box.
If you're still reading this and thinking to yourself "Well, this all sounds like yet another indie garbage flavour of the week TRPG", I can't blame you. What I can do, however, is offer you a free copy of the Bookmark Edition - a tri-fold A4 pamphlet containing all the most important rulebook fragments. It's not as pretty as the real thing and doesn't have the optional content, but it will give you a good feel of what this whole thing is about.
It's just sick. I felt like this needs a separate paragraph. Look at it.
In order to download this gem of a game you must purchase it at or above the minimum price of 4.75€ EUR. You will get access to the following files:
